To Achieve? …. or to’be’?

Without struggle, is there any reward?

It appears the highest achievements in life take the most arduous efforts to overcome the inertia of an inverted world.

The spiritual path renounces this assertion in stating that an act of surrendering personal will can lead to liberation and ultimate freedom.

In this, the need for struggle and sweat is eliminated by the powers bestowed on the aspirant from a benevolent universe.

The much sought after hopes and dreams – which only serve to bring one out of the present reality – melt away and in their place wondrous appreciation and grasp of the treasure that is the present fills the aspirant with joy, love and abundance!

When one can truly embody this message, it doesn’t mean the being simply kicks back in indolence.

No, instead, the previous efforting of blood, sweat and tears to attain a perceived essential goal in life can be replaced with a contentment in the moment and a genuine knowing that “absolutely nothing can make me happier than I am right now“.

Thus, the moment is not filled with angst to get to a perceived ‘better place‘ where all is rosy.

True fulfilment is achieved in the great act of surrendering to ‘what is‘.

Ultimately, the present moment of now is all there is, and accepting this axiom and transcending the illusion of time is a great act of faith and trust that will reap much reward.

Namaste.
