Divine Presence

In the presence of the Divine…

I become a captive of love’s gentle embrace.

All anxiety, fear and unknowing passes through me, as wind through the trees – my countenance is undisturbed.

In the presence of the Divine…

I discard my persona – I am naked before God and a tranquility washes over my being that cannot be served by any material source.

In the presence of the Divine…

I come to realise who I am in my true essence; my father in heaven and I are one.

This knowledge brings profound joy to my soul rising to great heights of bliss.

In the presence of the Divine…

I nurture a deep love for creation and all life contained within; this awareness in me stirs a sense of compassion for all life.

In the presence of the Divine…

I lose all needs and wants for self and am reassured of the benevolence of the universe.

Knowing this in my heart I earnestly embrace the whole world in love.

In the presence of the Divine…

I can no longer hide in the shadows of life, a great light shines the truth onto my path.

I no longer feel alone or afraid anymore for the Divine has been revealed to the self.

As I go onwards on my path the challenges of life inevitably return to frustrate my way.

Yet I need only dwell in stillness of mind to be embraced once more in the presence of the Divine!
